====== The different display constraints ====== ===== Introduction ===== What happens when an image with a resolution other than that of the screen is displayed? In zebrix, it is possible to define whether this image will be stretched, cropped, zoomed, etc. via an option called **"display constraint "**. The same applies to videos and pages. Please note, however, that not all display constraint modes are available for all media types. ===== The different modes ===== ^Mode name (French)^Mode name (English)^Description^Applicable^ |Cover|The image is enlarged to the maximum, without distortion, to leave no black areas on the screen. If the content does not have the same ratio (width/height ratio) as the screen, it will be cropped on two sides|image, video (external player only)| |Content|The image is enlarged or shrunk, without distortion, so that it is fully displayed on the screen, without cropping the image. If the content does not have the same ratio (width/height ratio) as the screen, there will necessarily be black areas (bottom+top or right+left)|image, video| |Stretched|The image is stretched or squashed to perfectly match the screen resolution, without cropping. Some distortion is inevitable if the image does not have the same ratio (width/height ratio) as the screen.|image, video| |Adapt dimensions|attempt to automatically adapt the page dimensions to the screen resolution. The quality of the result obtained is potentially unpredictable. Depending on the complexity of the page|page| |Actual size|the image is displayed, without distortion, using its actual resolution (it may therefore appear smaller or larger than the screen resolution). Black bands are possible. Cropping is possible.|image, page| ===== How can I change the display constraints? ===== - Go to the hardware tools on the player or screen concerned - Go to the "Properties" tab - Adapt the display constraint mode for images, videos and pages according to your requirements {{ :public_media:en:en_constraint_modes.jpg?nolink |}}
