===== Introduction =====

SAMSUNG SSSP allow IPTV Support thank to the zebrix IPTV zone type.
This page contains compatibility information.

**Screen firmware's must be updated to the latest stable version to ensure maximum compatibility with streaming functionality \\ 
The screen must also run Zebrix version 3 ([[en:zebrix_software_player_v3|]])** 

Samsung Smart Signage Platform now has been available with the support of Streaming too with 3.0 version. Users now can play the streamed video files on SSSP.
Videos streamed using rtp (Real-time Transport Protocol) protocol can be successfully played with 3.0 version of SSSP.
For SSSP Users, it is recommended to use RTP, HLS and HTTP protocols for streaming.
Let’s have a quick look of Streaming feature supported in 2.0 version and their advancement in 3.0 version.

===== HTTP and RTP Stream =====

Video can be played with http protocol using player Plugin API.
The supported file formats are .mpg ,.ts,.mp4,.wmv ,.avi.

===== HLS Stream =====

HLS (HTTP Live Streaming) is an emerging standard in adaptive bitrate video.
Player API supports HLS Protocol streaming and .m3u8 file format is used for HLS streaming.

==== RTSP Stream ====

RTSP stream is not supported yet
