How to install zebrix on a SAMSUNG ePaper screen?

Compatible models:

Step 1: Screen firmware update

1.1 Download the latest firmware approved by zebrix

Firmware download: https://downloads.zebrix.net/S-RSEDWWC_1040.32_USB_Common.zip

1.2 Place the content of the zip file (the directory named S-RSEDWWC) at the root of a USB-C key.

1.3 Plug the USB-C key into the screen’s USB-C port. There are two USB-C ports on the screen. If the screen is on battery, make sure to use the USB-C data port and not the power-only port.

1.4 When the key is detected, the screen automatically updates; the process takes a few minutes.

1.5 Once the screen is updated, it restarts and displays an initial setup page showing 3 QR Codes. If this is not the case, press the POWER button on the screen.

Step 2: Installing the setup application on a smartphone

2.1 Downloading the application:

Scan the QR code displayed on the screen to download the application from the appropriate store depending on your phone model (Android or iOS).

2.2 A Bluetooth usage request is triggered on the smartphone to pair with the screen

Confirm Bluetooth pairing (Bluetooth must be enabled on your smartphone).

2.3 Connection to the available wifi network:

The screen must now be connected to the same wifi network as the smartphone.
Select the wifi network and then enter the wifi security key so it can be transmitted to the screen.

Step 3: Finalizing screen configuration via the application

3.1 You must accept the manufacturer’s terms of use to proceed to the next step

Press Next to continue the installation.

3.2 Then select the "Manual Setup" configuration

3.3 Select the screen orientation

Depending on its installation position

3.4 Other settings

The parameter Device sleep after = Always ON is absolutely mandatory for now.
SAMSUNG screens do not yet handle the automatic relaunch of an application such as zebrix when waking up from sleep mode.
This point is under investigation and correction with SAMSUNG.

3.5 Server address

After the previous setting, the application asks you to select the content playback mode.
Select “Custom” then enter the following url: https://epaper.zebrix.net

3.6 Define a PIN code then name the screen as desired

4. Congratulations! Your screen is configured on zebrix!

The screen displays a Zebrix activation page, you can now proceed with its activation.
