  • Plug a USB keyboard into the player
  • Power on the player (or press ESC to exit the current application) to access the home menu (DATE & Time, Ethernet, Wifi, Settings), don't type any URL!
  • On a previously used device, it is always recommended to perform a factory reset: SETTINGS > Reset Options > Erase all data (factory reset)
  • After reboot, make sure the date and time are correct (otherwise, connection to the zebrix server may fail)
  • Configure the network settings according to your preferences, internet connection is required for the next steps
  • Go to the SETTINGS section
  • Go to Remote APP upgrade URL, enter https://screen.zebrix.net/qbic, check the Upgrade in background box, and validate by pressing SET
  • After a few seconds, the player displays a notification confirming that the application has been downloaded; the application is now set as the default application
  • It is recommended to go to the Player settings section and enable Fullscreen mode, which prevents the navigation bar from appearing at the bottom of the screen (must be disabled if using touch)
  • Return to the home screen. An URL is now set, don't modify this setting. The zebrix application will automatically start at the end of the countdown. This page will be displayed for 20 seconds after each reboot.
  • At the first launch of zebrix, you may have to confirm the zebrix server to use (Europe: https://screen.zebrix.net).
  • The zebrix activation page will be displayed, proceed to the activation from the CMS or by contacting the activation team (activation@zebrix.net).

In order to prevent users of the touch screen from accessing the Android player settings, it is absolutely necessary to enable the following settings:

  • Settings > Player settings and enable Fullscreen mode, which prevents the navigation bar from appearing at the bottom of the screen, allowing the user to exit the zebrix application.
  • Settings > Security Password and set a password to restrict access to the player’s settings.
