Digital Signage on ClickShare Barco

Barco's ClickShare CX-30 allows you to easily share your computer screen on the meeting room's main display. However, when no one is sharing content, you can also use it as a digital signage screen. Using the Zebrix channels, you can schedule and broadcast your playlists (videos, pages, images, etc.). We will show you how to configure your ClickShare to broadcast your Zebrix content.

Prerequisites

First, you need to set up a web broadcasting channel in Zebrix, and you can find the tutorial here to obtain a Zebrix web broadcasting URL. You will also need an admin account for Barco xms.cloud to manage your Barco equipment.

First, to select your equipment, click on the wrench icon, then on Baseunits, and finally on the gearwheel for configuring the desired equipment.

Then, click on configuration to access the elements of interest.

To insert the obtained URL into the Zebrix channels tab, first click on digital signage, then on the custom URL radio button to unlock the field for pasting the Zebrix web channel URL. Finish by clicking the apply change button.

Next, to ensure that your equipment broadcasts your content all day, press System, then click on the dropdown list under Standby after (minutes) to select infinite to prevent the ClickShare from going into standby mode. Finish by clicking the apply change button.

Finally, to prevent your clickShare from switching to screensaver mode, check in Display & Audio that the screensaver function is set to Infinite so that it never activates.

Now, when your ClickShare is not in use, it will broadcast your Zebrix content.
