Specificities

The BeAlert widget allows you to broadcast on your screens the alerts issued by the Belgian government for the safety of its citizens. For more information, please visit www.be-alert.be. The alerts are broadcasted on the concerned geographical areas. So, to broadcast the right alerts on the right screens in the right areas, you need to determine the gps position of the screen (longitude, latitude) via the widget.

On the site: https://www.coordonnees-gps.fr You can get the GPS coordinates of your screen, from the postal address of the company where your screen is physically located.

  • 1 Enter the mailing address where the display is located.
  • 2 Click on Get GPS Coordinates
  • 3 Copy the longitudes and latitudes into the widget.

In the widget catalog

Click on news and select the be-alert widget.

  • 4 paste the obtained GPS coordinates in longitude and latitude respectively.
  • 5 copy the widget url

Note: It is more than likely that nothing is displayed in the preview, this is normal, it simply means that for the gps coordinates entered, there is no alert for the moment. On the other hand, the duration of a message will have an effect only if several alerts are given at the same time on the same area, it is the duration of each message in alternation, from 2 messages.

Then in the CMS, create a new page.

In the page editor :

Create:

  • A portrait page, for portrait screens.
  • A landscape page, for landscape screens.

For an optimal display, you should add a web zone on the whole page. The display of the zone will be adapted on portrait and landscape screens. Then paste in the content area tab the url obtained in the widget catalog. Save your page.

In the playlist tab create or edit the playlist that you will broadcast with your be alert widget Press on then on click on static then ok to close the modal. Then click save. A new button Add overlay page appears under change overlay type click on it, the content selection modal appears Choose your beAlert page in the list, click on Ok and then save your playlist BeAlert will automatically appear on your screen over your playlist on a third of the page, if an alert is declared.
