zebrix shortcut: user guide

zebrix shortcut is a Windows program that allows you to quickly and easily switch a zebrix screen :

  • to one of its inputs (HDMI, DISPLAY PORT, DVI, VGA)
  • to its scheduled zebrix content

This feature is useful when you want to temporarily interrupt the zebrix broadcast in progress on a screen connected via HDMI/DVI/VGA to your computer in order to display the signal coming from your computer __ without having to use the screen's remote control.

To display the application, click on the zebrix icon located in the “systray” (group of icons in the bottom right-hand corner near the time).

In "free screen selection" mode

You can choose the screen you want to switch to on the HDMI source. This is ideal when you often need to connect your computer to different screens (for example, if you occupy different meeting rooms).

In "forced screen" mode

In single screen mode, the screen selection list is hidden. Screen sharing is always done on the same screen.

zebrix shortcut can be installed in two ways:

  • using the setup wizard, this is the simplest method, but it requires administrator rights.
  • Portable version: from a zip file to be decompressed. This method does not require administrator rights.

When the zebrix shortcut application is launched for the first time, a configuration wizard is displayed.

  • zebrix shortcut is based on the “PIP” (Picture-in-Picture) function and can therefore only be used on SAMSUNG SSSP / Tizen screens.)
  • The application uses a page that you must have previously created in the zebrix account and on which a PIP zone has been created. Several pages can be created, for example if you need to be able to use different screen inputs (HDMI1 / HDMI2 / DVI / VGA) or offer different page versions.
  • The page created can be freely formatted, as long as it contains at least one PIP zone and is named with a ZEBRIXSHORTCUT_ prefix. You can therefore, for example, put text, images, text at the bottom of the image, a logo superimposed above the PIP zone, etc.

Pages intended to be able to be used in order zebrix shortcut must imperatively be named with the prefix ZEBRIXSHORTCUT_ for example ZEBRIXSHORTCUT_HDMI input.
