Samsung Smart Signage Platform now has been available with the support of Streaming too with 3.0 version. Users now can play the streamed video files on SSSP. Videos streamed using rtp (Real-time Transport Protocol) protocol can be successfully played with 3.0 version of SSSP. For SSSP Users, it is recommended to use HLS and HTTP protocols for streaming. Let’s have a quick look of Streaming feature supported in 2.0 version and their advancement in 3.0 version.

HLS (HTTP Live Streaming) is an emerging standard in adaptive bitrate video. Player API supports HLS Protocol streaming and .m3u8 file format is used for HLS streaming.

Video can be played with http protocol using player Plugin API. The supported file formats are .mpg ,.ts,.mp4,.wmv ,.avi.
